The holidays can put an overload of stress on dogs as well as humans.  Growls and snarls are serious warnings that mean “I feel threatened and will defend myself if I am pushed further”.  Find a safe, quiet place to get your dog away from the overload of strange people, noise, and commotion of holiday gatherings.  Pay attention to your dog’s warnings and move your dog away from the source of stress.  Don’t punish your dog for a warning!
